Dery and her colleagues found that men’s generally higher trust in institutions such as the Ministry of Health led to great acceptance, while women were often influenced by misinformation, social networks, and concerns about vaccine safety and fertility. Their paper in BMC Public Health recommends targeted interventions that build confidence through community engagement, transparent information sharing, and gender-sensitive health messaging.
